Syrian soldier injured in Turkish drone attack in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – A member of the Syrian government forces was injured on Sunday as a result of a Turkish drone attack on a military post of the government forces in the western countryside of Manbij, northern Syria.
A local source told North Press that the attack targeted a military post belonging to the government forces in the village of Qart Weran, west of the city of Manbij.
On Jan. 25, a government soldier was injured by a Turkish drone attack on a military checkpoint of the government forces in the village of Koran in the eastern countryside of Kobani, northern Syria.
The Syrian government forces have entered Manbij in mid-October 2019, following a ceasefire agreement sponsored by Russia and the U.S., which came in the aftermath of the Turkish invasion of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel Abyad regions in northern Syria.
The source clarified that the targeting resulted in the injury of a member of government forces, and that his condition is stable.
