HOMS, Syria (North Press) – Localmedia platforms reported on Thursday that Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian-backed militias in the countryside of Homs Governorate, central Syria.
They added that the Israeli airstrikes targeted a site near the Eid gas station at the village of al-Mukhtariyah in the northern countryside of Homs.
The sonic booms were heard after the airstrikes, said the platforms, adding that military posts of Iran-backed militias were targeted.
On Jan. 20, five militants of the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the incident.
