Casualties reported in government shelling on Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Syrian government forces shelled on Tuesday evening areas in Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, resulting in the killing of one person and the injury of others.
Opposition media outlets reported that Syrian government forces targeted the city of Ariha in southern Idlib with rockets, leading to the death of one person and the injury of eight others, including two children and a woman.
Earlier Tuesday, the Russian Reconciliation Center in the Khmeimim airbase in Latakia, western Syria, announced that “terrorist groups,” referring to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly known as al-Nusra Front), carried out four attacks on Syrian government forces in northwestern Syria.
The opposition outlets added that government forces also shelled with heavy artillery the town of Fatterah in Zawiya Mountain in southern Idlib countryside.
