Six civilians injured by Turkish attacks on NE Syria – Asayish
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) stated on Monday that Turkey’s attacks on northern and northeastern Syria resulted in the injury of six civilians.
Earlier, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced in a statement that Turkey launched more than 70 strikes on the region over the past three days.
In a statement published on their website, Asayish highlighted that the Turkish bombardment in the region is characterized by its systematic nature, evident in the deliberate targeting of critical facilities and civilians. These attacks have led to the injury of six civilians, including a woman and two children.
They said that these attacks constitute war crimes according to international laws and conventions, as they targeted dozens of vital service facilities.
The Asayish added that a number of their checkpoints were also targeted. They pointed out that about 10 detention centers under their control were targeted.
These centers are located in the city of Qamishli and its surrounding areas in northeastern Syria, the city of Derik in far-northeastern Syria, the town of Tirbe Spiyeh (al-Qahtaniya) in east of Qamishli, and the town of Ain Issa in northern Syria. These attacks have caused material damage and resulted in injuries among the detainees.
