SDF says Turkey tries to conceal crimes in NE Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied on Sunday the Turkish allegations about the martyrdom of SDF fighters, saying that Turkey is trying to conceal its crimes in targeting infrastructure, civic services, population, and the sustenance sources of the people in the region.

The SDF Media Center said in a statement that the Ministry of Defense of Turkey has claimed the martyrdom of a number of SDF fighters during the recent and ongoing Turkish aggression against north and east Syria.Turkey continues to bombard towns and cities aligning the border, starting from the city of Derik (al-Malikiyah) in far-northeastern Syria to the city of Manbij in central northern Syria, severely damaging infrastructure facilities and properties of residents, and resulting in civilian and military casualties. The SDF statement confirmed that these allegations are untrue, and they are disinformation used by Turkey to conceal its crimes in targeting infrastructure, civic services, population, and the sustenance sources of the people in the region.”These direct attacks and barbaric terrorist aggression clearly and explicitly prove the hostility of the Turkish occupation state to all forms of life in the region,” according to the statement. “They constitute blatant and deliberate war crimes aimed at causing maximum harm to the lives of civilians, instilling fear, and inflicting suffering on their daily existence,” the SDF statement added. The statement stressed that the SDF has the right to a legitimate response. We “will not allow the Turkish occupation’s aggression to go unanswered.”
