Turkish airstrikes injure family in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish airstrikes targeted on Sunday the town of Derbasiyah in northern Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria, resulting in the injury of a mother and her two children.

Since Jan. 12, Turkish aircraft have been targeting various sites in northeastern Syria. The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) has said that the airstrikes have knocked vital institutions out of service and called on the international community to intervene.

According to a security source affiliated with the AANES, the Turkish airstrikes hit the Farmers Union building in Derbasiyah, a sponge factory in the village of Qanter, and a resident’s house in the village of Kerbetili, west of Derbasiyah.

The airstrikes resulted in the injury of 35-year-old Ahlam Abdulrazzaq, who is pregnant, and her two children, three-year-old Jan Khaled Hisso and two-year-old Rojhad Khaled Hisso.

The injured were taken to Khabat Hospital in Derbasiyah, and no information about their health status has been provided.
