Islamic Resistance targets Coalition bases in Syria, Iraq

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Tuesday that it targeted a base of the U.S.-led Global Coalition in the countryside of the town of Rmelan, east of the city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iran-backed militias in Iraq, said in a statement published on its affiliated accounts that its fighters attacked the Rmelan base in northeastern Syria using drones.

Similar attacks in northeastern Syria targeted the Coalition’s base in the town of Shaddadi and the U.S. base near the village of Robaria in the countryside of the city of Derik (al-Malikiyah).

In addition, the Islamic Resistance announced that it targeted the American base in the al-Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

It also claimed an attack with a drone on the Harir Airbase in Erbil Governorate, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The group emphasized that it will continue to target U.S. positions in Iraq and Syria in support of Gaza.
