Landmine blast injuries 4 children in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Four children were injured on Monday due to a landmine blast of the remnants of war in a town in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

The Head of al-Assad Hospital Maamoun Hizeh, told Syria’s state-run SANA news agency, “Four children between the ages of 10 and 15 years were rushed to the hospital when a landmine went off.”

War remnants have killed and injured hundreds of people throughout Syria during 2023, with the majority being children.

Hizeh added, “The injured received the necessary treatment immediately.”
