Turkish forces attack 3 villages in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Turkish drones and mortars targeted three villages near the city of Manbij, northern Syria.
The Manbij Military Council (MMC), affiliated with Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), reported on its official Facebook page that Turkish drones attacked a checkpoint of the MMC in the village of Tokhar Saghir, in northern Manbij, in addition to targeting the village of al-Mafarid.
The MMC has not provided further information.
Since Dec. 23, Turkey has launched a brutal bombardment campaign against areas held by the SDF in northern and northeastern Syria.
The Turkish forces also shelled with mortars the village of al-Kawikli in west of Manbij, local sources told North Press. No casualties have been reported.
