Civilian killed in Iranian militia attack on Syria’s Hasakah
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A civilian was killed on Tuesday in Hasakah Governorate due to an attack launched by an Iranian-backed militia.
The attack was launched by the so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iran-backed militias in Iraq and Syria, in the town of Shaddadi in the south of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
The attack resulted in the killing of an old man in his 70th, an exclusive source told North Press.
Eyewitnesses reported to North Press that they heard multiple explosions near the U.S. base in Shaddadi.
The group has claimed responsibility for almost every attack on U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria especially since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas conflict on Oct. 7.
