Turkish attacks continue rocking Syria’s Qamishli

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Using drones and artillery, Turkey has attacked on Tuesday several sites in the city of Qamishli and its surrounding areas, northeastern Syria.

Since Dec. 23, Turkey has unleashed a vicious bombardment campaign in north and northeast Syria, targeting 33 sites, including vital infrastructure facilities. The attacks have killed 10 people, including two women, and injured 25 others, seven of whom were women and two were children.

North Press correspondent in the town of Rmelan, east of Qamishli, reported that approximately two hours ago, a Turkish drone strike hit the Tubiyah silos near the town.

Another attack targeted a bulgur factory near the village of Girbawi in south of the city of Qamishli. In addition, several projectiles struck the Allaya and Naamatli neighborhoods in the city.

North Press has not recorded any human casualties, so far.
