SDC’s 4th conference features changes in internal structure
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) dismantled its Executive Committee in its new internal system as part of the outcomes of its fourth annual conference, held in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria.
The internal system consists of eight articles defining the council, its principles, decision-making mechanism, membership, and organizational structure.
The new internal system of the SDC, as stated in Article 8, includes the general conference, the general council, the joint presidency, the presidential committee, and subsidiary centers.
The council’s previous internal system consisted of the general conference, the joint presidency, the presidential council, the executive committee, subsidiary centers, and specialized committees.
According to Article 4, Section 2 of the new internal system, the SDC has expanded its role beyond being a political umbrella for the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), as it now serves as the political umbrella for democratic and social forces, self-administrations, and civil and local councils throughout Syria.
