Turkish shelling targets two villages in Syria’s Manbij

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Manbij Military Council (MMC), part of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), announced on Monday that Turkish forces shelled two villages in north of the city of Manbij, northern Syria.

The Manbij Military Council said in a statement that the villages of Awn Dadat and Tokhar Saghir, located in the northern countryside of Manbij, were targeted with with mortar and artillery shells.

The MMC added that the shelling of the two populated villages caused damage to properties but did not result in human casualties, noting that the source of the shelling is the Turkish base in the village of Tokhar Kabir.

On Saturday, a Turkish drone targeted the village of Awn al-Dadat twice.
