Government shelling, Russian airstrikes target NW Syria
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Media platforms affiliated with the Turkish-backed Syrian opposition reported on Monday that Syrian government forces targeted with artillery the countryside of Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, and Hama Governorate, central west of Syria, coinciding with Russian airstrikes in Idlib.
The government forces have intensified their shelling in Idlib recently, resulting in dozens of civilian casualties.
Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes with vacuum missiles in the eastern outskirts of the city of Idlib, accompanied by reconnaissance flights, according to opposition media.
These media platforms reported on Sunday that government forces shelled the eastern neighborhoods of Idlib, resulting in 14 injuries.
In addition, government forces targeted the surroundings of the town of Taftanaz, Zawiya Mountain, Fatterah, and Kansafra in the eastern countryside of Idlib, as well as the surroundings of the city of al-Atarib in the countryside of Aleppo. Furthermore, the villages of al-Enkawi and al-Qahira in the countryside of Hama were also targeted.
