Unknown gunmen kill Iranian-backed militant in Syria’s Homs

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – One militant of the Iranian-backed Liwa al-Quds was killed and another was injured on Sunday at night in an armed attack targeted their headquarters in the eastern countryside of Homs Governorate, central Syria.

An insider told North Press that unknown gunmen targeted a military headquarters of the Liwa al-Quds in the town of al-Sukhnah, eastern Homs.

The attack resulted in the killing of a militant of Liwa al-Quds and the injury of another, as well as, clashes between the two sides took place, forcing the gunmen to flee after running out of ammunition, the source added.

On Dec. 9, unknown people carried out an armed attack on a vehicle of the Syrian government forces in Homs, killing an officer and injuring two soldiers.
