Government forces to attack Coalition bases in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor – Source

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian government is mobilizing groups of its forces to attack troops of the U.S.-led Global Coalition in eastern Syria, security official in the government forces said on Sunday.

The official told North Press that the government sent an urgent “top secret” cable to senior security officers in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, and the city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria.

The cable orders to ready 100 soldiers from Regiment 21 and 23 of the government forces on the condition of being from Deir ez-Zor and governorates in central Syria, the official said.

The forces, named “Special Forces,” will be deployed to Deir ez-Zor under Iranian command to be utilized in small groups, according to the official.

These soldiers will be trained by Iran to be used in targeting bases of the Global Coalition and posts of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The official added that Iran will provide $100 as a monthly salary besides their army salary, in addition to other clothing and food privileges.
