Turkish forces shell two villages in Syria’s Manbij

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Manbij Military Council (MMC), affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), stated on Saturday that Turkish forces shelled two villages northwest of the city of Manbij, northern Syria.

Turkey continues attacking villages in the countryside of Manbij, occasionally causing civilian casualties and property damage.

The MMC stated on its Facebook account that the villages of Kawkli and Sayada were shelled which caused panic among residents.

The MMC also said that a Turkish military convoy targeted the village of Awn Dadat twice.

A local source from Kawkli reported that six artillery shells struck the village, while Sayada was hit with 11.

No information about casualties or victims among civilians has been provided.

On Dec. 2, the Turkish forces and their affiliated opposition factions of the Syrian National Army (SNA) shelled the villages of Arab Hassan Kabir and al-Yanli.
