Asayish seize rocket launcher of government in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Internal security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Friday confiscating a truck provided with a locally made rocket launcher in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
The Asayish said, in a statement, that it identified the site of the truck relying on monitoring the movement of “subversive groups affiliated with the Syrian regime”.
The operation took place while the truck was trying to get to Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES)-held areas from areas held by the Syrian government to be used to launch attacks against the bases of the U.S.-led Global Coalition, according to the statement.
The truck was transported to a safe area to dismantle the rocket launcher, the statement read.
