Islamic Resistance attacks U.S. base in southern Syria
HOMS, Syria (North press) – The Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted on Wednesday two U.S. positions in southern Syria.
On Tuesday, media outlets close to the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a moniker for a coalition of Iran-backed militias in Iraq and Syria, claimed responsibility for attacking with drones two U.S. positions at al-Tanf base and the nearby al-Rukban camp, southern Syria.
Since Oct. 17, U.S. bases in Syria and Iraq have sustained 90 attacks by Iran-backed militias, which have resulted in the injury of 62 American personnel, the Pentagon previously stated.
The outlets said that the Islamic Resistance directly struck their targets at the al-Tanf and al-Rukban.
