Asayish arrest crime ring in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Wednesday the arrest of a network involved in theft, armed robbery, and murder in the countryside of Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria.

The Asayish stated on their official website that they received reports of these crimes from citizens across various areas in Hasakah countryside.

They also stated that after investigations, the individuals and their whereabouts were identified, leading to a raid on Dec. 11 in the village of al-Danina, during which the suspects started shooting.

Asayish added that they captured 17 individuals, including a woman and seized weapons, equipment, uniforms, and phones.

The arrested individuals confessed to their involvement in car thefts, armed robberies, and thefts. Once legal procedures are completed, they will be transferred to the public prosecution for further action.
