Global Coalition conducts patrol in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The US-led Global Coalition conducted on Wednesday a patrol in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

A source from the city of Hajin, eastern Deir ez-Zor, said that a Coalition patrol, consisting of four military vehicles, roamed the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The source added that the patrol set off from the Coalition’s base in al-Omar oil field, reached Baghuz, and returned along the same route to its starting point.

Deir ez-Zor has recently witnessed military tensions between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and groups affiliated with Iran and the Syrian government forces.

The region is witnessing intermittent attacks against the SDF headquarters and fighters. The SDF says that the Syrian government sends cells through the western bank of the river to its-held areas eastern the river.

On Dec.8, the Global Coalition also conducted patrols in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, inspecting sites there.
