HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Over 150 Iraqi families are getting ready to leave Hawl Camp in northeast Syria. This is the 13th batch of Iraqi refugees leaving Hawl to al-Jadaa camp in the Iraqi city of Mosul. Later, they will be sent to various Iraqi cities.

A supervisor involved in the preparations told North Press that at least 150 families will leave Hawl Camp to Iraq.

The 12th batch left Hawl Camp on Nov. 11.

According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Displacement and Migration (MDM), “The process of repatriating families continues, as it is a governmental decision.”

The supervisor did not provide further details, stating that the families are still in the camp, but it is expected that they will leave before the end of 2023.
