6 killed, 27 injured in government shelling in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian government forces shelled on Saturday areas in Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, resulting in the killing of six people and the injury of 27 others.

A local source reported that government forces shelled with rocket launchers and artillery the outskirts of the city of Idlib, resulting in the killing of six people, including two children, and in the injury of 27 people, including four children.

The source also indicated that the shelling, originated from government forces’ positions in the city of Saraqib, targeted the Industrial Neighborhood in Idlib and the town of Sarmin,  east of Idlib.

The source suggested that the number of casualties is likely to increase as the shelling continues on the town of Sarmin.
