1 woman killed, 2 children injured in blast in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – A woman was killed and two of her children were injured on Saturday in a blast of an IED in the western countryside of Daraa Governorate, southern Syria.

An eyewitness told North Press that Fatima Abdul Majid al-Zubi was killed, and two of her children were seriously injured in an explosion of an IED planted by unknown individuals on a road near the village of Sheikh Saad in the western countryside of Daraa.

The injured children were transported to Daraa National Hospital, with one of them losing an arm and suffering a severe injury to one of his eyes.

The same area has repeatedly witnessed incidents of attacks against Syrian government forces.

After the explosion, government forces headed to the scene and started examining the area and checking IDs of people there.
