5 missiles rock Coalition base in NE Syria
RMELAN, Syria (North Press) – Five missiles rocked on Friday a military base of the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS in Hasakah Governorate in northeast Syria.
North Press correspondent reported that Kharab al-Jir base in the town of Rmelan was attacked with five missiles.
The correspondent said the missiles were likely fired from the Iraqi territory, adding that no details about the damages were shared.
The same base was attacked early in December.
Earlier on Friday, the so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iranian-backed militias in Iraq, claimed responsibility for two attacks on the Global Coalition bases, one on Conoco Oil Field in Deir ez-Zor and the other on Ain al-Assad in Iraq.
