SDF targets 4 SNA militants in Syria’s Hasakah
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Wednesday that four militants of the Turkish-backed armed opposition faction, aka the Syrian National Armey (SNA), were killed in a town in Hasakah countryside, northeast Syria.
The SDF Media Center said in a statement that the SDF targeted a military vehicle belonging to the SNA in the village of Tel Muhammad, in the countryside of the town of Zirgan (Abu Rasin), in Hasakah countryside.
The statement added that this operation was carried out as a justified response and self-defense against Turkish attacks.
Four SNA militants were killed in the operation and their vehicle was destroyed, the statement added.
The statement further noted that the SDF forces had monitored the movements of the faction before carrying out the operation, as “they were preparing to launch an attack on our areas and positions.”
The SDF emphasized that they will not hesitate to respond to all attacks by the Turkish army and its-affiliated factions, and that they possess full legitimacy according to international laws and regulations to defend themselves and their territories.
