3 civilians injured in IED blast in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor 

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Three people, including a girl, were injured on Tuesday in an explosion of an IED in a neighborhood in the city of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

Unexploded ordnances in Syria, particularly in Deir ez-Zor, claim the lives of dozens of Syrians every month.

State-run SANA news agency reported that an explosion of a “terrorist-laid explosive device” in an abandoned building in al-Joura Neighborhood in Deir ez-Zor resulted in the injury of three civilians.

The Director of al-Assad Hospital in Deir ez-Zor, Dr. Mamoun Hayza, stated that the hospital received three people, including a child, who had been injured by shrapnel resulting from an explosion of an unidentified object.

He added that necessary medical treatment was provided to the injured people, with one of them being in a serious condition.
