Turkish authorities transfer 4 Syrian detainees to prison in Turkey
AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, Turkish authorities transferred four Syrian detainees – who had been held in a prison in northern Afrin, northwestern Syria – to a prison in Turkey.
The Military Police of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) handed over the detainees to Turkish authoritiesthrough the al-Hamam border crossing, southwest of the city of Afrin.
A military source in the SNA informed North Press that the Military Police transferred the detainees from its prison in the town of Kafr Janneh, in north of Afrin, to the crossing.
The source added that the Turkish intelligence received the detainees at the crossing and transported them to a Turkish prison in the city of Antakya, southern Turkey.
The source further indicated that the four detainees had been sent to the Kafr Janneh prison three days ago. They were then placed in a special cell without being registered by the prison administration.
