7 civilans arrested by SNA in Syria’s Sere Kaniye

SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, seven civilians were arrested by the Turkish-backed Military Police of the Syrian National Army (SNA) during raids in the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), northeastern Syria.

An official in the Military Police stated that militants of the group, in coordination with Turkish intelligence, conducted raids in the city of Sere Kaniye aiming to find and arrest individuals accused of espionage for ‘foreign entities’.

During the operations, the source added, two individuals were shot and injured by the Military Police militants, and five others, including a woman, were arrested.

Among the detainees only three were identified: 25-year-old Qusai al-Zyadneh, 38-year-old Ibrahim al-Doush, and 26-year-old Jilan al-Doush, while the only identified injured individual was 16-year-old Ahmad Asfour.

The detainees have been transferred to the counter-terrorism prison in Sere Kaniye, while the injured individuals have been taken to Ras al-Ain Hospital, where they are being monitored by the Military Police.
