RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Friday the arrest of a militant of the Islamic State group (ISIS) in Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria.
The Asayish stated that their Anti-Terrorism Special Forces (known as HAT in Kurdish) were the ones that carried out that operation.
The operation took place in the town of Ain Issa, north of Raqqa. The Asayish did not disclose further details about the operation or the detained militant.
On Nov. 27, the Asayish announced the arrest of an ISIS leader in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
