ISIS attacks man refused to pay Zakat in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Militants of the Islamic State group (ISIS) attacked on Tuesday the owner of a remittance office in his house in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, for refusing to pay zakat.

A source told North Press that ISIS militants riding motorcycles attacked with machine guns Mousab al-Hazoum, owner of a remittance office in the village of Hawaij in the east of Deir ez-Zor

The source said that ISIS militants contacted al-Hazoum via Whatsapp and demanded to pay zakat but he refused to do so.

Al-Hazoum fought with the attackers where they forced him to flee. They set fire to his tractor and caused material damages to his house, according to the source.
