Turkish intelligence, SNA arrest 14 people in Syria’s Sere Kaniye
SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – Turkish intelligence services, in coordination with the Military Police affiliated with the Turkish-backed armed opposition, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), raided on Wednesday a village in the countryside of Hasakah, northeast Syria, and carried out arrests.
A source in the Military Police told North Press that they raided with Turkish intelligence the village of Tel Halaf, in the countryside of Sere Kaniye in northern Hasakah. As a result, 14 individuals were arrested on charges of carrying out attacks on SNA and posing a threat to Turkey’s national security.
The source added that the detainees were transferred to an anti-terrorism prison, and likely to be transferred to another one in Turkish territory.
Two days earlier, the Turkish intelligence transferred six Syrians who were arrested by the Military Police in Sere Kaniye to one of its prisons in Turkey.
The source further said that the arrests took place hours after three militants from the faction were killed by an explosive device planted along the road between Tel Halaf and Sere Kaniye. The party responsible for the attack remains unknown.
