SNA’s Military Police detain 4 people in Syria’s Tel Abyad

TEL ABYAD, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Turkish-backed Military Police of the Syrian National Army (SNA) raided a neighborhood in the city of Tel Abyad, northern Syria, and arrested four individuals on charges of destabilizing the area and targeting SNA militants.

The frequency of arrests conducted by Turkish intelligence and its affiliated SNA factions within SNA-held areas is steadily increasing. Residents of these areas are being charged with various offenses, including espionage and others.

A military source told North Press that the Military Police surrounded the al-Mahatta neighborhood in the city of Tel Abyad for two hours, and then raided three houses, arresting four individuals, including a girl.

The source added that the Military Police members raided the houses and attacked their owners, accusing them of undermining the security and stability of the region and carrying out attacks against SNA militants.

Among the detainees are Nuran Ahmad, 20, Ammar Ahmad, 15, and Sardar Kanan, 28. The source has not been able to identify the fourth detainee.
