Turkey transfers 8 detainees from Syria’s Sere Kaniye to Urfa

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Turkish authorities transferred eight Syrian detainees from the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), northeastern Syria, to Turkish territories, in coordination with the Turkish-backed Military Police of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

An official from the SNA’s Military Police informed North Press that the Military Police administration released the detainees from the anti-terrorism prison in Sere Kaniye and subsequently handed them over to Turkish intelligence.

The group of detainees, which included two girls, was then transferred to Turkish territories through the Ras al-Ain border crossing. This transport of detainees is considered the 10th within November.

The source added that the eight detainees were transferred to Halwan Prison in the Turkish city of Urfa, and that no information regarding their names or fates were reported.
