Two civilians injured in intra-SNA clashes in Syria’s Sere Kaniye
SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – A man and a girl were injured on Wednesday in clashes over a fuel truck between two factions of the Turkish-backed the Syrian National Army (SNA) in a town west of the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), northeastern Syria.
A military source told North Press that clashes erupted in the town of Mabrouka between two groups, one affiliated with the SNA’s Ahrar al-Sharqiya and the other with the SNA’s Sultan Suleiman Shah Division (al-Amshat), due to a dispute over a seized fuel truck.
The source added that the two groups used light machine guns and pistols within residential areas, resulting in the injury of a young man and a 9-year-old girl, as well as two militants from the factions. Both militants were transferred to Ras al-Ain Hospital.
The source explained that there has been a recent spike in clashes between SNA factions, mostly related to personal reasons or disputes over the distribution of looted resources and revenues.
