Unknown gunmen kill IRGC militant, injure others in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – One militant of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Corps (IRGC) was killed and three others were injured on Sunday in an armed attack that targeted their vehicle in a town east of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
A military source of the IRGC in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle targeted a vehicle carrying officials in the IRGC near the town of al-Boleel in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The targeting resulted in the killing of a local militant of the IRGC and the injury of three others, according to the source.
On Nov. 11, an officer in the Syrian government forces was killed and another officer, as well as several other personnel, were injured in an explosion of an explosive device in Deir ez-Zor.
