Asayish seize over 43,000 captagon pills in Syria’s Manbij

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) –  The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Sunday the seizure of thousands of captagon pills and the arrest of drug traders and dealers in the city of Manbij in northern Syria.

The Asayish Media Center said in a statement that Anti-Crime Unites seized 43,300 captagon pills during a raid in Manbij.

Following clashes with the drug traders and dealers, the Anti-Crime Unites arrested three individuals.

Late in October, the Asayish began a campaign to pursue drugs traders and dealers in northern Syria.

On Oct. 27, the Asayish announced in a press conference the arrest of 42 traffickers, sellers, and dealers of narcotics in Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria.

On Nov. 8, the Asayish announced the arrest of 14 drug dealers, users, and sellers in the cities of Hasakah and Qamishli in northeastern Syria.
