3 Killed, 7 injured in blast in Syria’s Afrin3 Killed

AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, three people were killed and seven others were injured in an explosion of a truck bomb at a checkpoint of a faction of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) in the city of Afrin, northwestern Syria.

A Military source told North Press that a truck bomb exploded on Saturday with a checkpoint of the Turkish-backed Military Police of the SNA at the eastern entrance of Afrin.

The source added that the explosion resulted in the killing of three people and the injury of seven others, in an initial toll, with expectations of an increase in the number of casualties.

On Nov. 11, the town of Bulbul in north of Afrin witnessed fierce intra-clashes between militants of Jaysh al-Izza, which contains several factions and is affiliated with the SNA’s Third Legion, following an attack by one faction on a checkpoint of another Jaysh al-Izza faction in Bulbul.

Sources reported that several factions of the SNA have been experiencing disputes for months.
