Government forces kill 3 HTS militants in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Syrian government forces targeted a bus carrying militants of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) in eastern Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, resulting in the killing of three HTS militants.

A military source in Idlib told North Press on condition of anonymity that the Syrian government forces targeted with two guided missiles a military bus of HTS and a heavy digging machine between the town of Taftanaz and the village of Afes, in eastern Idlib.

The source further added that as a result of the targeting, three militants were killed and three others were injured in the bus attack. In addition, one civilian was killed and another was injured in the other attack. All of them were transported to a Binnish Hospital in the city of Binnish, eastern Idlib.

The source also said that after the targeting, HTS blocked the road connecting Taftanaz and Afes, emphasizing that this road holds significant importance for HTS, as it serves as a route for the transfer of military reinforcements between the two areas.
