Government announces shooting down drones in NW Syria
DAMASCUS, Syria (North press) – The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that Syrian government forces had shot down a number of drones in the countryside of Hama, Idlib and Aleppo.
The Ministry of Defense published a statement on its Facebook page, stating that “Units of our armed forces operating in the countryside of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo thwarted attempts by terrorist organizations to attack safe villages and some military points with suicide aircraft and drones, and destroyed four aircraft.”
The statement added that the government forces also shot down a drone in Jurin in the northern countryside of Hama, claiming it was loaded with 100 kg of explosive materials.
On Nov. 8, the ministry announced that they had thwarted a similar attack by “terrorist organizations” on areas under their control in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo.
