US forces down Turkish one-way attack drone in Syria’s Hasakah
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – US forces downed on Sunday a Turkish one-way attack drone after getting close to a garrison of the US-led Global Coalition in the countryside of Hasakah Governorate, northeast Syria.
A military source operating with the Coalition told North Press that the drone came from areas of the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), and got close to Tel Baydar garrison, in Hasakah countryside.
The Coalition forces are stationed in the aforementioned base.
The spike in attacks against US forces and personnel coincides with Israel’s escalation in the Gaza Strip, which comes in retaliation to a Hamas attack on Oct. 5 in southern Israel.
