Iranian-backed militia attacks US base in Syria’s Shaddadi
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility on Saturday for a rocket attack on a base of the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
The Iranian-backed militia announced in a statement targeting the US base in the town of Shaddadi in the southern countryside of Hasakah with rockets.
The statement added the attack directly hit the base in Shaddadi, without disclosing the extent of the damages.
On Friday evening, a military base of the US-led Global Coalition in Kharab al-Jir base near the oil-rich town of Rmelan, northeastern Syria, was struck with four missiles. Later, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the rocket attack.
Early on Saturday, the militia claimed responsibility for an attack with two drones on a US base in Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).
Lately, US sites and bases in the Middle East, particularly in Syria and Iraq, are being attacked by the so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq following the Israel-Hamas war.
