DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, residents of a town in the eastern countryside of Daraa Governorate, southern Syria, found the body of a drug dealer in the area.
An eyewitness told North Press, “The residents found the body of 25-year-old Muhammad Fuad al-Ghawazi between the towns of al- Taebah and al-Mataaiyah in Daraa eastern countryside.”
The source noted that al-Ghawazi hailed from the town of Saida in the eastern countryside of Daraa and was involved in drug smuggling and distribution.
Two years ago, al-Ghawazi was arrested by a group affiliated with the Eighth Brigade, linked to the military intelligence of Syrian government forces, after being accused of killing a person in the town[21] of Saida, the source stated.
The eyewitness said that al-Ghawazi was found dead with multiple gunshots from close range, adding that the body was transferred to the National Hospital in the city of Daraa, where his relatives later identified and received it.
