Israeli airstrikes hit southwest Syria

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli airstrikes targeted on Friday at night several points in the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra, southwest Syria.

The airstrikes came after missile attacks were launched from Daraa and Quneitra countryside towards Golan.

A military source from the Syrian government forces told North Press that the Israeli army launched several missile attacks on the vicinity of the village of Hader in the northern countryside of Quneitra.

The source believes that the Lebanese Hezbollah is the one that launched the missile attacks against Israeli settlements in Golan.

Several missile strikes targeted the town of Hawd al-Yarmouk in the western countryside of Daraa, according to the source.

No casualties were reported.

Israel frequently targets suspected positions of Iranian-backed militias in Syria in what appears to be an effort to curb their movement amid fears the Israel-Hamas conflict would escalate into a wider regional turmoil.
