ISIS reveals toll of attacks in Syria, Africa, Asia

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic State (ISIS) revealed on Friday that it carried out a single attack in Syria during the past week.

This came in a recently published report by ISIS; it detailed the attacks the group conducted last week in Syria, Africa, and Asia.

The ISIS-run al-Naba newspaper publicized that the group carried out only one attack in Syria last week, the attack took place in areas held by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and it resulted in the killing of two individuals.

In West Africa, the organization killed and injured 13 individuals in six operations. In Central Africa, it reported four attacks that resulted in the deaths or injuries of four individuals, according to the report.

ISIS also carried out a single operation in Khorasan, which resulted in the death of one person.

In Mozambique, the group mentioned three operations that led to the killing of four individuals.

Furthermore, the group did not claim any operations in Iraq for the fourth consecutive week during the previous tally.

Following their latest tally, ISIS announced late on Friday that they claimed responsibility for two operations against the SDF and another against the Iraqi army, after four weeks of not claiming any operations in Iraq.

ISIS-linked Amaq news agency said in a statement that ISIS militants targeted an SDF patrol with automatic weapons on the Sabah al-Khair road, south of Hasakah, northeast Syria.

The statement added that the targeting resulted in the killing and injuries of four fighters and the damage to a vehicle.

In Iraq, ISIS issued a statement in which they reported that their militants targeted an Iraqi army checkpoint in the al-Khaznah area in Tarmiya, north of Baghdad, with automatic weapons.

The statement added that the targeting resulted in the injury of one soldier and the destruction of a thermal camera.
