SDF arrests ISIS operative in Syria’s Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Friday arresting an Islamic State (ISIS) operative in the city of Raqqa, north Syria.

The SDF said in a statement that the SDF’s Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT), supported by air surveillance from the US-led Global Coalition, conducted a security operation in the the city of Raqqa. As a result, the terrorist Muhannad al-Dandah aka Abu Muhammed al-Muahid, an official in an ISIS terrorist cell, was arrested.

Al-Muahid “was responsible for providing the ISIS cells with the intelligence to carry out terrorist acts targeting military points and civil institutions in the region,” according to the statement.

The YAT Unites confiscated seven smartphones, a mobile phone, personal documents and IDs, and one Wi-Fi Reuter, the statement read.
