Turkish shelling rocks Syria’s Ain Issa
AIN ISSA, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Turkish artillery shelled a village on the outskirts of the town of Ain Issa, in the northern countryside of Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria.
On Oct 9, two children lost their lives as a result of the shelling Turkish forces and their affiliated factions of the Syrian National Army (SNA) on the village of al-Mastoura, northwest of Ain Issa.
A local source told North Press, “The village of al-Mushayrfa, 8 kilometers east of Ain Issa, and nearby silos were shelled.”
The source added that the shelling resulted in the injury of a person named Bashar al-Nasser, 23, who was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Ain Issa.
A medical source from the Ain Issa Hospital stated that the injured young man has undergone surgery, adding that al-Nasser is still under medical observation and have passed the critical stage.
