Government forces kill 4 children in Syria’s Hama

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian government forces killed four individuals in Ghab Plain in western Hama, central west Syria, using artillery.

This coincided with artillery and missile shelling on villages and towns in southern Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria.

The northwestern regions of Syria have witnessed a military escalation and an intensive shelling since the beginning of October, which has been the most severe of its kind since February 2020, resulting in the killing and injury of more than 250 individuals, including dozens of children and women.

“The government forces stationed at the Jurin camp targeted the villages and towns of al-Qarqur, al-Enkawi, al-Sirmaniyah, and Duwayr al-Akrad in Ghab Plain, with heavy artillery shells”, a military source from the area told North Press.

The source added that the shelling resulted in the killing of four children, three of whom were from the same family due to the impact of one of the shells on a house in the village of al-Qarqur.

In addition, the source pointed out that the families of the children live in a village close to the front lines with government forces in order to work.

Meanwhile, military sources in the Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation told North Press that the government forces continued and intensified their artillery and missile shelling on the villages and towns of Fatterah, Kafr Oweid, Sfuhen, and Kansafra in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib.
