SDF targets Turkish bases in occupied areas in Syria’s Tel Tamr
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Friday targeting three Turkish military bases in the countryside of Tel Tamr, northern Hasakah governorate, northeast Syria on Oct. 17.
The SDF Media Center said in a statement, “Within the framework of our legitimate right to respond to the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries’ attacks and aggressions, our SDF forces conducted on October 17, 2023, precise and qualitative operations targeting the Turkish occupation bases” in the villages of al-Arba’in, al-Aliyah, and al-Manajir in the countryside of Tel Tamr.
From Oct.5 to Oct. 9, Turkey attacked 104 sites in northern and northeastern Syria, including vital infrastructure such as power, gas, and water stations and educational facilities, with more than 580 air and ground strikes, according to a statement by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).
The attacks resulted in casualties among the Turkish forces, according to the statement.
