Iraqi forces arrest “dangerous” official of ISIS in Saladin
Erbil, KRI, Iraq (North Press) – Iraqi forces announced on Monday the arrest of a “dangerous” official of Islamic State (ISIS) in Saladin province.
The Iraqi News Agency said in a statement, that the Counter Terrorism Service managed to apprehend one of the most dangerous terrorists belonging to ISIS within Saladin province.
The statement added that the detained individual is known as “Abu Tariq” and holds the position of communication and mail delivery officer, utilizing various social media platforms.
The statement further clarified that Abu Tariq confessed to belonging to ISIS, confirming his involvement in the transportation and logistical support for terrorist gangs.
The statement indicated that as a result of the initial confessions of the accused and the information provided, an airstrike was carried out on one of the locations where ISIS was present in Saladin, where eight ISIS militants were there, resulting in the killing of several of them.
